Rapé Shawandawa
Rapé Shawandawa is a special blend from the Shawãdawa tribe, also known as the people of the Macaw. Shawã means macaw in their language, and this colorful bird plays an important role in their culture. The Shawandawa tribe lives along the Juruá River in western Brazil, near the Peruvian border. They possess extensive knowledge of medicinal plants and their uses, which translates into the unique power of their rapé.
This particular blend has only recently been shared with the outside world and is a basic mix that the tribe uses daily for energy and strength for work, as well as afternoon relaxation. It combines strong Mapacho, Tsunu ash, and traditional herbs for a smooth taste and special power.
Rapé (pronounced Ha-pee) is a sacred shamanic ‘medicine’ used by indigenous healers for thousands of years, an essential part of their culture and history. It is also known as the ‘Dust of the Ancients’. Rapé blends are made according to traditional recipes protected by respected medicine men and women. The local people use rapé for clarity, focus, spiritual cleansing, gaining insight, clearing negative thoughts, and assisting with daily tasks.
Packaging
In our quest to create the most sustainable product possible, we have chosen glass bottles instead of plastic variants. Glass is a sustainable packaging option that helps reduce plastic waste. We encourage everyone to keep the delivered Rapé jars and reuse them for other purposes.
